These are just a few other random pictures of things that happened in Idaho. Here's Libby learning to walk! This little girl has overcome so many trials that watching her learn to walk was especially joyful. I was glad I got to be there for it.

I babysat Joey, Benji, and Luke one day while Desiree was doing things for church. We played outside for a long time but came back inside when it got too hot. Luke, who's 2, led me to a shelf in the garage and asked me to get a 100-piece dinosaur puzzle down for him. I gave it to him, thinking, "He's two. This is only going to last five minutes and we'll be putting it away again." But Luke and Benji, who's 4, spent almost two hours putting together this puzzle. They were completely focused the whole time, not fighting at all. My favorite part was when they were both singing softly to themselves (different songs). Obviously I'm not a parent, and maybe this is typical behavior for boys this age, but it took me by surprise!

They finally finished the puzzle and then, without even taking a moment to revel in their accomplishment, they tore it apart and started putting it back together again!

Jared and Courtney just bought a new house, so I got to help them paint over their wood paneling. I like to paint! (I really do, Wendy!)

Chad and Dez and the boys came by to see the new house, and a few minutes after they left, Chad called Jared and asked if he (Chad) had left his sunglasses in Jared's car. Jared went out to the garage and cringed at the strong skunk smell. (Jared & Courtney live in the country, so skunks are a common nuissance.) But since Chad was waiting on the phone, Jared didn't go looking for the skunk immediately; he got in the car and looked for Chad's sunglasses. Then he looked up at the windshield and saw the skunk all splayed out on the glass! Yuck! But wait a minute...the skunk was dead! Turns out that Chad had found the skunk drowned in their pool, so he put it in their van (ew!!!) and took it to Jared & Courtney's house for the sole purpose of torturing his brother. I come from a twisted family.

Chad and the skunk story will live in infamy. Thanks for letting the world know. It needed to get out in the open...air.
