Moving on...

I quit my job a few weeks ago, and now I'm a free woman! Woo-hoo!!! I enjoyed working for my company and have nothing bad to say about them; it was just time to move on. I was tired of being in an office and staring at a computer all day. My plan for now is to take several months off to travel around and visit family and friends before taking another job. I used to be a field engineer for a telecommunications company, which I loved, so that's the type of job I'll be looking for. I'll be leaving Spokane, which is bittersweet. I've loved being part of this community, and I'll be leaving behind a great ward, a fun book club, and many good friends. But on the other hand, it really does feel like it's time. I've done what I came here to do.

Look out world, I'm on my way!

HEIDI!!! After your family and friends tour, where are you moving to, and for whom will you work?

I'm glad that everything was well where you were at. I'm also impressed that you're able to pull up stakes and move on when you felt it was time. With me it takes tragedy, drama, crying, screaming, yelling, and occasional swearing to get me to move on to what's better for me.

I hope where you're going will be as fulfilling as where you've been.

Wow! You have guts to just quit and move on! I'm impressed. I hope you have fun traveling the world and enjoying the company of your family. Sounds like an adventure! Peru sounds like a blast. I'm not a very good hiker. I'd just hold you up. I hope you have an awesome trip this fall and take lots of pictures to post here!
